Day 133: Apr 7 - Preventing Mad Cow disese, one baby at a time

Today was the first day since she started school that Katie didn't get a Happy and Active checkmark on her form. Instead today it said, "Mood: Coughing and runny nose today, Active". That is the one downside of daycare, the amount of colds she's picking up is higher. She also likes to take those colds and pass them off to Daddy as well.

As you'll see with today's pictures, DaddyCam continues to be blurry, but that first shot made me giggle. She looks like such a thug with her jacket that way and the expression on her face!

Despite not feeling well, she spent the day at school playing with bubbles, the exersaucer, grasping a toy, smiling and babbling. They also sang Twinkle, Twinkle.

From school, Katie and I headed over to a playdate at Chick-Fil-A. She saw the big cow, but since she was coming down with something, she decided not to get too close to him.

After supper, we put Katie back in her duckie bath for her evening wash. She could not stop kicking the water and splashing. She had an absolute ball playing around in the water!

Day 132: Apr 6 - Chillin' with the 'rents

After a very busy day at school of aquarium watching, mirror time, facial expressions, and the exersaucer, Katie took it easy in the evening and just chilled in bed watching TV with Daddy.

Day 131: Apr 5 - It's raining men, Alleluhiah

Daddy and Katie had a date in the morning to watch some Formula 1 racing before Katie and I headed out for the day.

Katie had a play date with her friends in the afternoon. She got to see some of her friends again in addition to meeting new friends. She made sure that she got first dibs on Mr. Caleb before Miss Holly did. Holly may be better about holding her head up, but Katie could take her just from sheer massive size. She was also pretty sure holding her liquids down gave her an edge on Miss Holly. Katie also enjoyed reconnecting with her BF Jack. It's been way too long since she had gotten to see him.

When we got home from her playdate, Daddy and I enjoyed testing out Katie's new hats and sunglasses on her. That's why you have a baby, right? To play dress up with them for your amusement. No?

Day 130: Apr 4 - From hacking weeds to hunting eggs

I was wondering why Katie's crib mobile kept playing at 5am. I first assumed that Daddy was in there with her. When it kept on, I decided to go investigate, only to find that Katie was turning it on herself! She would kick her legs down, which she likes to do when she's bored or frustrated, and each time she'd kick, she'd turn it back on.

My little baby's becoming a crib traveller too. When I went to check on her, I found her sideways and out of her sleep positioner.

Today was our subdivision's Beautification Project day. One of the common areas has become overgrown with weeds and thorns, so the neighborhood decided to pull together and clean it up. Katie was ready to work with her jeans, thermal undies and pink John Deere boots. She supervised the work, and when things were wrapping up, Daddy made a beeline to go see his baby.

We barely had time to rush from the Beautification Project to change outfits and get to the neighborhood's Easter Egg hunt. Katie was in the first group and managed to rangle one egg in her basket before anyone else snapped it up.

After the hunt, we went back home and helped Daddy plant some grass in the yard. Katie LOVED spending the day outside in the beautiful weather.

Day 129: Apr 3 - The mommy cut, part two

Today's adventures again included tummy time, the exersaucer, a mirror and floor time. After work, Katie chilled at home with Daddy while I went out to get "my heer did". I wasn't happy with my style from two weeks ago, so I found another stylist to fix it up while adding a bit of blonde. With yesterday's tan and today's hair style, I am step closer to being a MILF! ;-)

Day 128: Apr 2 - Mommy's a Glamazon

At school, Katie enjoyed tummy time, bubbles, the exersaucer and handprint art and they sang Old MacDonald. While DaddyCam is still blurry, it does get points for creativity with self-portraits.

That evening, Katie and I went to a "tanning party". It's all the rage now to go to someone's house and have someone spray a fake tan on you. Katie wasn't as big into the tanning portion as she was meeting a new four legged friend. The puppy was very smitten with Katie and kept inching closer to snuggle.

Day 127: Apr 1 - April Fools!!!

4/1: According to her daycare sheet, Katie met a new friend today. Her name is Kayden. Also, exersaucer time is getting better and longer and also Tummy Time. The song of the day was "If you’re happy". Look at that smiling girl with the highwater pants. Of course she's happy!!!
