Eff my life! 30 min of pumping = 2oz of breastmilk. I HATE when my period is on her way!!! If you remember, I was a total oversupplier, and I got cocky thinking that'd last, so I donated my freezer stash to a little boy whose mother died. When I hit the six month mark though, my period returned and while she's in town, my supply PLUMMITS! I try to overcompensate the other three weeks, but I could only get 1-2 extra bottle's worth. I just wanna cry. Katie's already eating 2 containers of Stage 2 solids [which is probably more than she should have], but I can not seem to produce the 12-16oz she needs for daycare every day. This is going to be a loooong week trying to pull milk out of thin air to feed my baby!
It was a sad sad day for this breastfeeding momma, but I had to break down and buy some formula today. I needed it to supplement Katie's bottles this week until my period comes and goes. I have never been more proud of myself about anything else than I have been about being able to exclusively breasfeed this long. I really had it in my heart to make it a full year exclusively. This was such an important goal for me. It's hard when you have a goal you're working so hard for but you just can't completely achieve. I know everything will be fine and that I'm not "ruining" my child by feeding her "devil's juice". I'm just kinda mourning the end of an era.
Day 224: July 7 - More pool time!
Day 223: July 6 - I've found my new heaven!
The vending machine hooked.me.up today!!!! Who knew they made chocolate and peanut butter Bugles! They are absolutely DIVINE!!!! I just grabbed some cash and ran down the hall to get some more for later. I ran out of Bugles before I ran out of cash!! There were only 3 bags left in there! I can't even find these on the General Mills website!! Post partum cravings are insane. I eat all kinds of wierd stuff now that I couldn't stand before!!! Suddenly I can't eat enough supreme pizzas.
It was nice outside after work, so Katie went for a dip in her pool. She didn't seem overly impressed with the cold water, but she eventually got used to it.
Day 222: July 5 - Check out my tat!
Let the snuggle-off begin! Not sure which one of these two is a bigger/better snuggler, because I think they gave each other a run for the money!
In the afternoon, we headed to the local park for a festival, where we met up with Cousin Christen. She's always fun to hang with. Katie also got her first "ink". Definitely gonna be the coolest kid in Infant Room A. She also enjoyed swinging at the park. Her giggles of absolute joy are always so adorable!

Day 221: July 4 - Happy Indepedence Day!!!
Day 220: July 3 - I was born to shop!
Day 219: July 2 - New trick?
I was wondering why Katie has suddenly started flopping over on the right side? I know she learns new "tricks" all the time, and most of them are cute and entertaining, but last night, she started bending over towards the right as she was playing with Daddy. I wasn't sure if it was a new trick or some developmental issue. The answer from my friend Christina? She's doing it because she can and she's trying new things.
Whew! She's highly entertaining as she does it, but I wasn't sure why it suddenly started, why it's only the right side, and why she is constantly doing it. Guess it's one more of her gooberish tricks.
We went out to lunch with a friend and her baby and then stopped by work to say hi to Miss Barb. Miss Barb has the best shiny jewelry. It also tastes nummy too!
